APOS adopts the most stable and performing Microsoft SQL Database Server. Whether using APOS in a single outlet (standalone), several (or many) terminals in a local-network environment, or numerous branches in different locations, there is too little to worry about database stability, scalability, security and data synchronization.

Offline POS with Real Time Synchronization

This strong feature provides a choice to the most ideal setup under networking environment where each POS terminal has its own independent database for smoother transaction, failure of any particular POS terminal will not affect the operation of other POS terminals. Synchronization of changes in master files (new items, price change…) from main server to terminals or synchronization of new transaction from terminals to main server can be done almost instantly.

For those who have multiple outlets in different locations, with real time synchronization thru internet, the HQ will always have the latest information of all the outlets and real-time stock level reports. Each of the outlet terminals will be able to get the real-time information thru on-screen stock item search and stock availability check not only at local outlet, but also other outlets and HQ.

APOS is fully integrated with AutoCount Accounting (including accounting modules and stock modules). For existing AutoCount Accounting users, plugging in APOS is just seamlessly perfect. Quality Receipt Printing

In APOS, you can print your receipts faster without compromised on its printout quality. APOS is using ‘character-based printing’ technique to produce higher quality receipt, the printing is clear, easy to read and low cost. Besides, you can choose to adopt ‘Line Printing’ (print as you scan) or ‘Bill Printing’ (print upon payment).

Multiple Billing Options

Other than conventional cash receipt billing, APOS also comes with features such as Hold bill, Recall bill, Sales Order, Deposit bill, Partial Deposit bill, Credit sales, Row Discount, Total Discount…etc.

Multiple Payment Methods

APOS supports multiple payment methods which include cash, credit card, debit card, voucher and cheque. APOS also allows credit sales which means allowing customers to pay at the later days. Reports can then be generated for each type of payment methods.

Promoter’s Sales

In APOS, you may maintain promoters’ files, and then the individual promoter’s sales will be captured and reports can be generated with the commission analysis.

Connect To Customer Display LCD Monitor

You can connect the APOS to a customer display LCD monitor to display the Net Total Amount. On this LCD monitor, you may also display other info such as video clips for advertisement purpose. This feature is available as an additional POS module called LCD Display module.

Price Change With Approval

During transaction, with the approval from Supervisor (by supervisor password), a cashier can be allowed to change the unit price OR enter discount (either by item or total discount).

Touch-screen Option

APOS can be operated using whether keyboard, scanner or touch-screen method. These input methods are inter-switchable.

Back End feature

APOS Back-End is fully integrated with AutoCount Accounting as a Plug-Ins. When you login to AutoCount Accounting, you will find POS menu appears as it is an integrated application. APOS Back-End allows you to maintain master files related to APOS such as POS Cashiers, Supervisors, Promoters, Roles, Terminals, Credit Card, Location, Sales Promotion and etc. Product information will be maintained in AutoCount Accounting existing Item Maintenance.

Full synchronization between front end and back end provides comprehensive reports of sales analysis.

Choices of APOS Configuration

APOS can be configured for any range of standalone, local network, or internet requirement. From the simplest setup of all in one PC (POS Terminal + AutoCount Back End + DB Server), to more heavy-duty setup where the POS Terminals have their own DBs, while AutoCount Back End Server another DB, then data will be frequently synchronized between the DBs.
